COVID Procedures

During the COVID crisis, our staff will provide curbside sign in/out car service. For security and safety reasons, parents are asked to remain in their car until a parking lot attendant serves you. Should you require entry into the facility, parents are required to WEAR A MASK and wait in the lobby for your child and/or assistance.

Parent boundaries do not extend beyond the parent restroom. Parents are not permitted in kid zones when children are present. Facility tours must be scheduled and can only be conducted when the children are not present. Virtual tours are available.

Contact Guest Services to schedule your guided tour.

Testing Required.

No Results = No Entry & No School Pickup!

Weekly COVID tests are required in order to participate in our programs. Parents are required to get their child’s first test and present results prior to starting. In partnership with RAS Medical Solutions, subsequent weekly non-invasive saliva COVID tests will be administered at the Youth Life Center and the test results are emailed directly to our parents. Results must be forwarded prior to drop-off or school pick-up.

How We Handle...

Tap each heading to open.

The Youth Life Center is not a therapeutic environment, therefore to help ensure that our members have the best experience possible, it is incumbent upon every parent and child to carefully read the behavior policy in your handbook and enrollment application together. Disclosure of behavior challenges will not prevent enrollment into our program. The information will be used to make informed decisions about how to best interact with your child.

Remember, the true purpose of discipline is to correct and redirect in love according to our organization’s core values.

If discipline is necessary, the following methods are used by staff:

  • Speak individually to the child (Verbal Warning)
  • Verbal Reminder
  • Reflective Writing
  • May not be allowed to participate in Scheduled activity

2 STRIKE RULE

A ticket is a serious offense:

Ticket 1 – Results in a Conference with Parent

Ticket 2 – Expulsion without a refund

It's also about you. (Sometimes)

Building strong family relationships helps us serve you and your family better. We are committed to empowering, equipping and supporting our parents. We host quarterly parent mixers, and invite special guests, conduct workshops and parent discussions designed to help build strong families.

Parent mixers are held every 3rd Saturday in September, January, and April. Lock these dates in on your calendar. This family connection also helps us serve you better as we always endeavor to keep our parents abreast of your child’s development and experience at the Youth Life Center.
