The Youth Life Center of the Arts is the Trailblazer in Adolescent Care. Providing art-based enrichments, academic support, and mentoring programs in a safe family style environment that empowers youth, through creative expression, to find their voice and discover their gifts during out-of-school times.

Objective #1
To provide a specialized arts-based enrichment center for adolescent youth in South Atlanta
Objective #3
To introduce and encourage interest in all aspects of the performing arts production experience, including stage performance, backstage crew, set and costume design, lighting and sound, marketing and beyond

To introduce youth to all genres of Art from Martial to Culinary and everything in between with an emphasis on performing arts.

To promote community sustainability, educational advancement, and social development so that our youth will have a positive sense of self, family, and community
Our Expectations
Board Responsibilities
The Board shall be entrusted with the fiduciary responsibility to steer the The Youth Life Center of The Arts towards a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical, and legal governance and financial management policies, as well as by making sure the nonprofit has adequate resources to advance its mission. The Board shall sustain a strong vision and strategy for the Youth life Center of the Arts; develop and implement policies, assure accountability, sustainability, organizational effectiveness and highest-quality arts-based programming.

Each board member is expected to help us share the mission of the Center with potential donors and recruit a minimum of 3 new donors annually.

Each board member will attend Youth Life Center events and invite guests to attend whenever possible.

Each board member will identify new potential corporate partners and will also help with the retention of existing corporate partners from time to time as needed by the Center.
4
Commit to attending and actively participating in the quarterly board meetings.
