As the Director of Fashion & Modeling, Vanessa Henderson brings a wealth of expertise, creativity, and leadership to inspire the next generation of young artists. A renowned fashion designer, stylist, and industry influencer, she is a three-time Designer of the Year and an International Platinum Costume Designer Award recipient for Son of Sheba. With an impressive career spanning runway, theater, film, and production, Vanessa has worked as a fashion consultant to top industry professionals while also serving as a magazine editor, radio host, mentor, and community activist. She is the co-founder of Queen of Hearts International and the editor of Mother Daughter Bonding Magazine, Isabella Magazine, and Steller Magazine. Passionate about empowering young creatives, Vanessa is dedicated to helping students refine their skills, build confidence, and step into their full potential in the world of fashion and performance.
SoundWaves The Harmony of Creativity

The Music Fusion Lab is the perfect place for young artists to dive into chorale inspiration, talent awareness, and a variety of music workshops. This 4-week specialty camp blends music, voice, and live performance, giving campers the skills and confidence to bring their musical ideas to life!

As the Director of Music & Performance, Alfonzo Udell brings a wealth of expertise, a heart for mentorship, and a vision for excellence, providing a transformative musical experience for every student. A multi-award-winning musician, educator, and director, he has trained choirs, led music programs, and facilitated performance workshops for decades. He is the founder of Chosen Chorale, a Columbia-based gospel ensemble, and has collaborated with renowned artists across multiple genres, including Hezekiah Walker, Vickie Winans, Donnie McClurkin, and Ashford & Simpson. With formal studies in music, psychology, and pastoral counseling, along with extensive experience in stage production, radio, and television, Alfonzo is dedicated to developing young performers with both technical skill and artistic passion.
NextGen Media Makers: From Story to Studio
Looking for an exciting experience that builds confidence, sparks creativity, and teaches real-world media skills? NextGen Media Makers is the perfect opportunity for tweens and teens to explore the world of media production, storytelling, and podcasting—all while creating their very own radio show!
Designed for ages 9-15, this 4-week specialty program immerses young creators in the art of digital storytelling, sound engineering, and broadcast production. From scripting and recording to editing and hosting, participants will gain hands-on experience in what it takes to create compelling media content.
The Grand Finale: TeenTalk Radio Podcast
Parents, get ready to tune in! Campers will record and launch their very own “WYLC TEENTALK RADIO PODCAST” episode, featuring interviews, discussions, and creative content produced entirely by them. This exclusive WYLC TeenTalk Radio experience will showcase their media skills, confidence, and unique storytelling talents.

Media Makers Program Director Jack “Jae” Foster Jack "Jae" Foster Jack "Jae" Foster
As the NextGen Media Director, Jack “Jae” Foster brings a wealth of expertise, creativity, and leadership to inspire the next generation of storytellers in film, television, and digital media. With over 30 years of experience in broadcasting, media production, and education, he has made a lasting impact as the creator of the award-winning IN THE MIXX TV SERIES, a fixture in Atlanta’s entertainment industry. Jae has served as Director of Operations and Educational Services at People TV, Atlanta’s public access station, and has an extensive background in radio, starting his career as DJ Foster. As the Founder & Executive Director of Atlanta Media Heads, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, he is dedicated to providing media training for underserved communities, equipping youth with hands-on experience to become the next wave of media leaders.

CAPS Registration-Families Fees-and Field Trips
Registration fees are due at registration. If CAPS pays your registration fee, you will received a credit toward your FIELD TRIP FEES. Field trip fees are in addition to any FAMILY FEES determined by the CAPS program. CAPS will not cover field trip fees.
If your family receives CAPS, your parent fees are due in full prior to the start of each session.
